2016 Living in Pink Luncheon

The 2016 Living in Pink luncheon was a roaring success! $71,513.60 was raised at the luncheon with a lot of help from our major sponsors – West End Plastic Surgery ($25,000) and The MIDTOWN Group ($10,000). Thank you SO MUCH to all of our sponsors!

It was a gorgeous day at Columbia Country Club with men and women from all over the DC area in a celebratory mood as they sipped pink champagne, greeted old friends, and made some new ones.

The honoree’s for 2016 were Leonard Glassman, Radiologist at Washington Radiology. Mr. Glassman spoke about the new advances in radiology as it effects breast cancer detection. Also honored, with the Noel Soderberg-Evan award was Jan Duin, Center Director at Washington Radiology Associates.

One of the highlights of the event was an impromptu appearance by Emily Fitzgerald when she was summoned to the podium by our Master of Ceremonies, Greta Kreuz. Emily is 26 years old and a breast cancer survivor. She showed great poise and was an inspiration to all of us attending the luncheon.
